Uniform

Scouting is a uniformed organisation.  All members when they are invested will wear a uniform upon which badges denote the unit/district/county of membership and a variety of awards and badges to show others your particular skills and achievements in Scouting.  Our district uniform neckerchief is the special red and black design shown below that was chosen by Andover Explorer Scouts when the section formed in 2002.  We wear it with pride as it shows everyone in the district who we are!

We also have a black embroidered polo-shirt we use as an activity uniform when we're travelling and on outdoor activities.

Once a young person is willing to be invested, they should contact their leader for a uniform order form.  This contains details of the shirt/polo ordering process from our Administrator - who keeps a small stock of shirts & blouses.

  • Uniform Shirt/Blouse is £18 each
  • Embroidered Polo is subsidised to £5 (actual/replacement cost £12)

We supply the neckerchief and all the badges required for investiture.  This is paid for from membership fees.
